Top tips for getting the most out of your local listing
1. ALWAYS include images
Make your free listing come to life by uploading up to 3 images onto your listing. Not only does it make your listing more attractive and informative, we've found that listings with images are more likely to be viewed by our members - it's a fact!
2. Link your listing
Include a link to the Netmums home page or directly to free listing, to show off your reviews and encourage more.
Did you know? A link between your website and your listing will improve the chances of search engines including your listing and your website in their results.
3. Encourage reviews & ratings
Encourage happy customers to add a rating and review to your listing. A listing stands out from the crowd when it is full of vibrant reviews by your customers and it's more useful to our members.
Our 'find a listing' feature makes it easier for your customers to find you on Netmums and add a review.
4. Update your listings regularly
Don't let your listing become out of date. You can edit your listing as often as you like; change the images, share seasonal information or update your prices.
It's easy to manage all the listings you own or have created on Netmums, as they are all listed under My Listings in Settings in your Profile
5. Go for Gold
For just £18 a month (+VAT) upgrade to a local gold listing that takes your business listing right to the top of the page. It’s as easy as 1,2,3. Click on the Upgrade to a gold listing button next to your free listing, select the number of months and then pay through PayPal.
We've found that local gold listings are viewed up to 9 times more than a free listing. They are worth their weight in gold!
6. Replying to comments
You can reply to reviews and comments on your listing by using the 'add your response' button.
Why not thank them for a kind comment, respond to feedback or reply to a query?
7. Be smart – Use your mobile
Netmums is now easier to use on smart phones so why not try it out and see how your listing will appear to other smart users!
You can keep your listing up-to-date, reply to comments or upload a photo directly from your phone to your free listing. Or why not get your smart customers to upload their reviews and images too!
8. Help people find your listing
- Use simply your business, venue or group name as your title to help people find your listing both on Netmums and on search engines.
- Include the address and postcode too.
- Keep your details and description relevant and concise using words and phrases people might search for.
