Toffee & marshmallow crispies - easy to make & a nice alternative to chocolate crispies...

Preparation

  • Total Time 10 mins
  • Preparation Time 10 mins
  • 175g toffees
  • 175g margarine
  • 175g marshmallows
  • 175g rice crispies
  1. Put the toffee, margarine and marshmallows in a pan (frying pan is best) on a VERY low heat
  2. Melt gently, constantly stirring to avoid sticking
  3. When melted and blended together take the pan off the heat
  4. Stir in the rice crispies
  5. Spoon into a rectangular dish (or paper cases) and leave to cool (and set)
  6. Once set cut into squares and serve

    We make these & they are known as 'ooey-gooey cakes' lol. You can get away with adding one and a half the amount of rice crisipies (ie 6oz of everything else, but 9oz of rice crisipies) - it doesn't afftect the sticky, loveliness, but it makes it stretch further. I do it as a tray bake & cut it into squares when set. Whichever way you make them, they are lush!!
