In relationships, it’s often the little things that make you realise how amazing your partner is. Whether that’s bringing you a cup of tea in bed after yet another sleepless night or sorting out the latest tween meltdown, you just know he’s The One.

Here are 15 things your partner does that'll make you realise you’ve hit the relationship jackpot. Any you’d add?

1 He does the food shop without complaint

And he even looks in the cupboards to see if you really do need more baked beans. (Which is more than you do - you’ve got three shelves jam-packed full with them).

2 He’s happy to take your child to yet another birthday party

Your child (annoyingly) has a better social life than you.

But rather than have to spend every Saturday and Sunday at a different soft play/ village hall/ local park for birthday parties, your partner takes her.

Meaning you can have a sneaky snooze on the sofa in front of Saturday Kitchen.

3 He's happy to be the ‘bad guy’ when disciplining your kids

As a mum, you usually find you end up being the ‘bad guy’ when your kids have been naughty.

So you’re definitely onto a winner if your partner's happy to be the one banning the iPad or TV … and facing the wrath of a very angry child.

4 He does his share of the household chores

He helps with the laundry. He cooks dinner for you all.

In fact, he’s a domestic god and you’re never letting him go.

5 He organises date nights

To keep the spark in your relationship, he regularly organises date nights for you as a couple … and even arranges the babysitter.

All you have to do is get dressed up and have fun. Yay!

6 He sits through your new rom com box set with you

Even though you know he’d much rather be watching the latest Walking Dead.

And he doesn’t even complain when you flick on old episodes of Friends for the millionth time.

7 He knows exactly how you like your tea …

… and makes you a cuppa without you even having to ask.

8 You’re the top contact in his phone

Yep, even above his mates and the local takeaway. Must be love!

9 He changes nappies without being asked

Not only that, he knows your baby’s routine inside out.

And this means he makes up bottles without you having to say anything, and puts her down for a nap when she needs it. Best. Partner. Ever.

10 He phones his mum

Which, if you’ve got boys, is especially important. Because you’ve heard the saying, ‘a son is a son until he takes a wife’.

And you’re happy he’s setting such a good example to your sons for when they're older (and when you expect them to call you at LEAST once a day!)

11 He’s happy just to cuddle up on the sofa

Getting your sex life back on track after kids can sometimes be a struggle. Which is why the fact your partner's just happy to cuddle up - and take things at your pace - is so important.

We’ve got loads of tips on how to get the intimacy back in your relationship.

12 He compliments you

You’ve got serious ‘mum hair’ and you can’t remember the last time you shaved your legs.

But no matter how you feel about yourself, your partner is full of compliments.

Although you’re not quite sure you believe him when he tells you look gorgeous in the grey undies you’ve had since before the kids were born ...

13 He takes your child to her weekend classes

You’re happy your child is active. But watching her football or dance classes - especially when it’s freezing cold - can be seriously dull.

Luckily your partner's happy to take her instead ... meaning you can also dodge the competitive mums on the sidelines.

14 He holds your hand

You’re so used to holding your child’s hand - which is usually covered in mud or the remains of her snack - that it’s lovely to hold your partner’s hand when you’re out.

And just that little bit of intimacy makes you remember why you fell in love in the first place.

15 He doesn’t care that you've got baby sick in your hair

Or toddler bogies on your top. He thinks you’re absolutely perfect. Aaaah, true love.
