Mum blogger Sarah gave birth to her third child Wilf last week (12 December 2017).

And after sharing the news of her son’s arrival on Facebook, Sarah was quick to post a photo of the postpartum reality.

Sharing both a photo of her cuddling her son and a photo of her wearing an adult nappy, Sarah said:

FREE NEWBORN NAPPIES

‘Looking back through pics of Wilf’s birth and these two are hands down my faves, for very different reasons ...

'After initially thinking 💭 I can’t share that! 🤔I realised it’s less flesh than it would be if I shared my “bikini body” and represents the postpartum reality so well.’

She then went on to further describe the photo on the right:

‘I was absolutely euphoric at this point, despite walking like John Wayne and wearing an adult nappy. I cannot tell you how much we were laughing by this stage either, mostly at how lucky James is.’

Sarah then thanked her midwives at the Royal Devon and Exeter Maternity Service and The Positive Birth Company.

‘We shouldn’t be embarrassed’

And mums couldn’t help but praise the Unmumsy Mum for her honest post.

It received over 37,000 likes and over 1,000 comments:

‘Ahh god that pic of you in the nappy brings it back! Haha totally remember that feeling of my first walk to the bathroom after the epidural wore off and my jelly belly swinging 😂 weirdest feeling ever!!! So funny. We all go through it to have a baby so we shouldn't be embarrassed by it!’ – Rebecca Welch

‘Both pictures are beautiful, I think it's important to show how a post partum body looks like. Congratulations again he's beautiful xx’ – Theresa Martina Hopkinson

‘Amazing photos to share, thank you. Beautiful post birth reality.’ – Anniela Grattage

We salute you Sarah!
