Use potatoes to print these bright and cheery crocus flowers.

You will need: potatoes, paint, paper, knife (just make sure an adult does the cutting)

How to make your potato print crocus pictures:
1. Carefully cut a triangle edge on a potato half. Adult should do this bit, using a sharp knife.
2. Dip the potato in paint and make prints on your piece of card or paper.
3. Use a paintbrush to paint on stalks. Cut a leaf shape from the other half of the potato.
4. Print the leaves to complete your picture.

So simple and so pretty. Use your fingers to print pretty cherry blossoms.

You will need: card or paper, brown and pink paint

How to make your cherry blossom branches:
1. Firstly, paint a branch or tree on your paper.
2. Get your kids to dip their fingertips in pink or white paint.
3. Press onto the twigs or branches.
4. Keep on printing until your branch is bursting with colour from all the cherry blossom.

Spring is known for April showers, so these paper plate umbrella pictures are perfect.

You will need: paper plate, piece of card, paint or felt tips, scissors (just make sure an adult does the cutting)

How to make your paper plate umbrella pictures:
1. Fold your paper plate in half and cut wavy lines across the flat edge. If you have younger children, make sure you do the cutting.
2. Colour or paint the paper plate in any design you choose.
3. Cut a handle shape from paper or card.
4. Glue the umbrella in place on a sheet of card. Add raindrops using silver pen or a glitter pen.

You will need: a selection of patterned bun cases, pipe cleaners, buttons

How to make bun case paper flowers:
1. Thread a button onto the end of a pipe cleaner and twist the end to secure it in place.
2. Take two or three bun cases of descending sizes. You can cut the bun case into smaller circles if you need to or cut petal shapes out of them.
3. Thread your pipe cleaner through all your bun cases until the button nestles in the centre of the top bun case.
4. Make a few blooms and arrange them in a vase. You could also glue them to a piece of card to make a beautiful 3D card - perfect for Easter or Mother's Day.

Creat these dandelion seed heads made by printing with a washing up brush.

You will need: an old washing up brush, white and green paint, black card

How to make your dandelion paintings:
1. Dip your washing up brush into white paint.
2. Print onto black paper or card - you'll see that the brush print looks just like a dandelion seed head.
3. Print several seed heads.
4. Use green paint to paint on the stalks.

Use pipe cleaners and tissue paper to make your very own little cherry blossom trees.

You will need: pipe cleaners, tissue paper (pink or white), floral foam sphere - you can get these from flower shops or online

How to make your cherry blossom trees:
1. Twist a few black or brown pipe cleaners together and then shape to look like tree branches. Twist more pipe cleaners together to make a sturdy trunk then fold out and bend the tops.
2. Take your floral foam sphere and cut in half so it has a flat bottom. Then stick your pipe cleaner tree into the top of the foam.
3. Rip pink tissue paper into little strips and twist each strip tightly round the pipe cleaner branches to secure in place.
4. Keep adding tissue paper until your tree is covered with tissue cherry blossom.

You will need: plastic fork, yellow paint, green paint and paintbrush, paper or card

How to make your fork print dandelion paintings:
1. Dip your fork into yellow paint and print on the paper. Print in a circle to make the shape of the dandelion head.
2. Print more dandelions on your paper.
3. Use a paintbrush to paint on stalks.
4. These paintings are super easy yet they look gorgeous and bring a pop of spring colour to any home or nursery.

Use plastic forks to print these super pretty spring flowers.

You will need: plastic fork, paint, paintbrush, card or paper

How to make printed fork flowers:
1. Take some plastic forks and mix some paint in pretty spring colours.
2. Dip a fork in your paint and print to make a flower head shape. Continue printing as many flowers as you like, using lots of different colours.
3. Paint on the stems with green paint and a brush.
4. The end paintings are so pretty and make lovely spring pictures or cards to brighten your walls. They would also make beautiful Mother's Day cards.

It wouldn't be Spring without some cheery yellow daffodils.

You will need: an egg box, yellow and orange paint, pipe cleaner, scissors, card, glue

How to make cheery daffodils:
1. Cut out some flower shapes from yellow card. If you have younger children, make sure an adult does the cutting.
2. Cut out the sections of an egg box and trim.
3. Paint your egg boxes with yellow or orange paint.
4. Glue the egg boxes to the centre of the yellow flower shapes and then glue or tape a green pipe cleaner to the back of each daffodil.
5. Make a few blooms and arrange them in a vase. You could also glue them to a piece of stiff paper to make a beautiful Easter card.

You will need: red, black and green paint, paper or card, paintbrush or cotton bud

How to make your poppy pictures:
1. Dip a finger into red paint and print onto paper. Make four or five more finger prints in a circle to make the petals of a poppy.
2. Using the flat end of a paint brush or the tip of a cotton bud, print little black circles into the centre of each poppy.
3. Paint stalks with a paintbrush and then dip a card edge into green paint to print the grass.
4. You can make any Spring flowers using fingerprints. Use bright colours to make a lovely floral painting.

How to make the cotton wool sheep pictures:
1. To make the grass in the field, cut a rectangle of card and dip the edge into green paint.
2. Print all over the background of your paper to make a grassy field.
3. Tease out a cotton wool ball to make your sheep's body and glue to the background.
4. Paint on the legs, head and ears to finish.

With a quick twist of tissue you can make these gorgeous flowers to inject some spring colour into your home.

You will need: buttons or beads, pipe cleaner, tissue paper, card

How to make tissue paper flowers:
1. Thread a small bead (or you can use a button) through the end of a pipe cleaner and twist the ends to secure it in place. If you have small children, make sure they don't put the beads or buttons in their mouths.
2. Take three tissue paper circles of contrasting colours and poke the pipe cleaner through the centre of the circles.
3. Scrunch all the way round the flower head to make petal shapes.
4. Then either pop into a pretty vase to brighten your home or glue to a piece or card to make a beautiful 3D card.

You will need: clothes pegs, card, scissors, felt tip pens

How to make peg leg animals:
1. Draw some mummy and baby animals on a piece of card.
2. Cut out your animals (an adult might need to help with this as it is quite fiddly for younger children).
3. Colour in your animals and gather some wooden pegs. You can either use clothes pegs or buy tiny pegs from craft shops.
4. Clip the pegs to the animals to create their legs.

This is a lovely activity to fill a quiet spring afternoon.

You will need: paint, PVA glue, lots of buttons, card or canvas

How to make button tree pictures:
1. Paint the whole piece of paper in the colours of your choice. For a special picture you could paint on a canvas. Otherwise a piece of card works well.
2. Paint the tree trunk and branches.
3. Gather all your buttons and start gluing them in place, mixing up the colours and sizes as you go along. If you have smaller children, make sure they don't put the buttons in their mouths.
4. Alternatively, you could use little bits of scrunched up tissue instead of buttons (these look lovely as spring blossom). Finger prints look lovely too.
5. When it is finished this makes a really beautiful picture - one for framing or even giving as a special gift.

Use coffee filter papers to make beautiful fluttery butterflies.

You will need: coffee filter papers, scissors, felt tip pens, clothes pegs, pipe cleaners

How to make fluttery butterflies:
1. Take a coffee filter paper and trim off the patterned edge.
2. Then cut up the other edge and cut the sides to make a wing shape. Now open out your filter paper and you will have the shape of a pair of butterfly wings. If you don't have coffee filter paper then you can simply use kitchen roll or tissue paper instead.
3. Now draw designs onto the wings using felt pen. Because the paper is slightly absorbent, the colours 'bleed' and spread a little meaning it's a really nice surface for children to draw on.
4. Now fix a peg to the centre of the wings. Draw eyes and a smile onto the peg and if you like, use strong glue or a glue gun to stick on little pipe cleaner feelers.

These pretty paper cup wind chimes are so simple to make.

You will need: paper cups, small bells (you can buy from craft shops or online), pipe cleaners, felt tip pens, hole punch, beads

How to make paper cup wind chimes:
1. Use a hole punch to make holes around the rim of a paper cup.
2. Colour in the cup with bright designs in felt pen.
3. Thread beads onto a thread or thin ribbon and then tie a bell to the end.
4. Tie the threads to the holes and make a hole in the top of the paper cup. Thread a pipe cleaner or ribbon through the top to hang.

A super quick and easy way to make colourful bead bracelets. Your children could make a whole bunch of them to brighten their spring outfits.

You will need: wooden beads, pipe cleaners

How to make bead bracelets:
1. Gather some beads. You can buy them in packs really cheaply from craft shops or online.
2. Thread the beads onto a pipe cleaner. You can use string or elastic but the beauty of a pipe cleaner is that it doesn't move around and is easy for little hands to thread.
3. Once you have enough beads to go round your wrist twist the ends to fasten. Make sure there are no sharp bits on the end of the pipe cleaner.
