Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has welcomed her first baby into the world, along with her partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The singer gave birth on August 21, and shared the happy news on her Instagram.

Posting two black and white photos of her newborn's head and foot, she captioned the pictures: 'Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21 ♥️'

The post sparked much excitement amongst Little Mix fans and Perrie's celebrity friends.

'😭♥️ Proud of you always. Ly ✨' gushed fellow bandmate Jade Thirlwall.

'Welcome baby! ❤️❤️❤️' wrote Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore.

Alex also shared the news on his own Instagram, captioning the post: 'Welcome to the world little one 😍❤️ 21/08/21.'

Perrie announced the news of her pregnancy back in May, sharing an Instagram photo of her growing baby bump with her boyfriend stood behind her.

She captioned the post: 'So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You 🌎♥️

'We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!'

Her fellow bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, also revealed today that she'd given birth to twins, on August 16.

The pair announced their pregnancies less than a week apart back in May, and even celebrated their baby showers within days of each other.

Leigh-Anne broke her own pregnancy news by posting a series of photos on her Instagram of her showing off her baby bump whilst wearing a stunning green dress.

Baby fever is clearly in the air, as Leigh-Anne's older sister, Sairah Pinnock, also gave birth to her second baby on Friday.
