pregnancy congratulations

If you are pregnant then your mind will probably be full of questions and anxieties about your pregnancy, birth and the days beyond.

This page contains affiliate links, which means we may earn a small amount of money if a reader clicks through and makes a purchase. All our articles and reviews are written independently by the Netmums editorial team.

Netmums aims to get you ready with our free four week course. We will send you two emails a week, for four weeks, with information and tasks to tackle some of the big issues - the birth, how you will cope, how your relationship with your partner and your baby will develop and many more issues.

The course is suitable for mums-to-be who are 28 weeks pregnant or more. If you are only a few months pregnant at the moment, don't worry - the course will run monthly, and will be promoted within the Due Date Clubs, so you can join when the time is right for you.

We have two courses, which are based on the principles developed by the Department of Health for use in all antenatal courses. Whether you are going to be attending antenatal classes local or not, this course will give you a good grounding in the essentials and a bit of a side-ways look at what having a baby actually means!

FREE NEWBORN NAPPIES

The course is based on the themes of the new, evidence based, Preparing for Birth and Beyond programme (PBB) recommended by the Department of Health. These are:

  • the development of the baby
  • changes for me and us
  • our health and wellbeing
  • giving birth and meeting the baby
  • caring for the baby
  • who is there for us

Our course was written by a small team of Netmums staff, including one of our health visitors, who has lots of experience in leading antenatal classes.
