It's 11pm. Your child has a raging temperature and has been crying for hours. They need some paracetamol.
And so begins the screaming, crying, flailing, spitting out ... some kids even go so far as vomiting. Every parent has been there and it's not fun. Swap paracetamol for awful tasting antibiotics and, for many kids, it's game over.

The secret? A syringe full of water and some funny noises.
TikTok user @tideyfred posted a video of her giving her son penicillin without a hint of fuss, by turning the whole experience into a game.
First the TikTokker gives her son his own syringe full of water so he doesn't even notice her penicillin filled one.
'Let's fill some water up and squirt it up at the ceiling,' she says, whilst preparing to give him the medicine.
He excitedly sprays the water and the mum squirts the penicillin into his open mouth whilst he's distracted by all the fun. Sneaky!
'Whoa! Well done, let's put some water in quickly,' she says, whilst spraying some water into his mouth to wash down the medicine. 'Want another go squirting it at the ceiling?'
The toddler is all smiles and completely oblivious to what's just happened.
The video has racked up 231.8k likes and more than 1,800 comments on TikTok.
'Ma'am you're a magician,' one user wrote.
Another TikTokker commented: 'This lady must be a nurse.'
