Bubbles and summer go hand in hand. They're the perfect distraction for kids from toddlers up ... and an excellent way to get them off their iPad for an hour or so.
But there's something about little hands and bottle or wands full of bubble mixture. No sooner have they got them in their grubby little mitts than they've upended the bottle and spilled the lot down their arm / all over their top / on the floor.
Cue tears.
Especially if you don't have one of those giant bottles from Poundland on hand to act as a speedy refill.
Here, to save all our sanity, is one mum's rather genius way of solving the problem. It's so simple we can't believe we didn't think of it ourselves.
Vix, who goes by @goldilocks.bears.x on Instagram, posted a video where she uses sticky tape to secure her kids' bubble wands to her washing line pole.
By taping the containers at the right height for her kids, they're able to play with the bubbles independently, with NO spills.
Vix captioned her video: 'A must know hack for any parents of small independent humans:
'How to extend the lifespan of a bubble wand beyond 5 seconds ...
'Why have I never thought of this before? All those tantrums over spilt bubble mixture could have been saved by a little sellotape.'
The video clearly impressed many parents, as it has racked up more than 7,000 views.
'OMG! Genius!!! The amount of times it ends up in the floor,' one user commented.
'On my 3rd child and I never thought to do this at all. Genius,' said another.

@goldilocks.bears.x regularly shares other parenting hacks on her Instagram page, as well as lifestyle content. The mum of two recently posted another hack involving sticky tape, which prevents her kids misplacing the lids of coloured felt tip pens.
She simply lines the pens up in a row and tapes them together by the lids ... another sticky situation avoided!
