If you've got a group of children over for a Halloween party, why not turn it into a colouring competition? The kids can each choose a picture to colour in, and the adults will decide which is the best one! The kids will enjoy turning it into a game, and it's a great way to motivate your child to do some crafts if they'd rather be on the iPad!

Whether you want to use some of our colouring pages or create your own, some good ideas for pictures include:

  • A pumpkin. You can't go wrong with a classic pumpkin for Halloween. Plus, our pumpkin colouring pages can also double up as stencils to use when you're carving your own real-life pumpkins. Saves you drawing a tricky design! And the scarier the face, the more scary your pumpkin lantern will be...
  • A witch. Witches are another classic for Halloween - and try picture of a witch on a broomstick to make it that bit harder!
  • A ghost. Ghosts are another perfect picture for Halloween, and one that's easier for younger children!
  • A cat. A simple cat face will be easy for kids to colour in, or get them to draw their own.
  • A haunted house. This one might be a little bit more complicated, but older children will be able to go wild and include as many spooky things as they'd like hidden in the house!
  • A bat. Bats are another easy shape for kids to colour in, and you could even cut them out to turn into flying bats to stick to the ceiling.
  • A spider. Spiders will also be easy for kids to colour in, and can make great cut-out decorations, too.

Your kids will need some felt tips for colouring in – ALWAYS choose washable pens for obvious reasons! This pack of 24 by Crayola has all the colours they'll need. See more details here at Amazon.
