I bought this before our little bundle arrived. We used it a lot to help us dress our baby appropriately. This helped in the early stages as a first time mum when you worry about everything. the glow also gives you a little light during the night when your baby wakes for a feed.

The gro-egg has so much potential and I was very excited to get one having heard good things about it but I was very disappointed.
The colour changing feature is good and easy to see the average room temperature suitability, however the digital temperature display is useless.
It is almost impossible to read the number, you have to be at just the right angle to even be able to attempt to make out what numbers are displayed despite the light level.
I returned it by the end of the first week as it is just useless. A great idea in theory but needs improvement.

The gro egg is a fantastic thermometer and night light. It changes colour with temperature changes so you can keep your baby appropriately dressed and safe in all temperatures. The colours are very calming so as a night light too its fantastic. This was one of our favourite buys for sure. We have total peace of mind our baby wont over heat or be cold with the gro egg prompts to temperature change

I have had his since my first baby and now, 7 years later it is in use for my last baby. I love that you can easily see if the room is too hot or too cold. We've lived in a few different houses since our first child and some have just been too cold, others too hot and it really helps to know so we can adjust the heating or where baby sleeps. I think it's a great looking product too. I look at the temperature before bed to decide what nightwear to dress them in.

This thermometer is great to have in babies room to make sure it is not too warm or too cold. It will go red when the room is too warm, and yellow when it is cooler. We find it really useful as we can peer into Bella's room and double check that the temperature is ok. My only criticism is that it is quite bright and lights up the room. My husband got annoyed with it when it was in our room. I guess it could be useful as it acts as a night light, but i'm keen to keep the room as dark as I can.

had one of these and being the little gadget nerds that we are it was great at first, used it and it was a great comfort (or so i thought) it bugged me how such a simple thing could measure the temperature so well- however after a few months it just stopped working- no money lost as it was a gift i went and got us another.
Same thing happened- it was a particularly cold winter when we did have it and may be it was just our luck - who knows but i was attracted to the design and colours as well as its purpose so would be tempted again if I was honest - but probably only when on sale, otherwise not worth the money.
Probably should have returned it but couldn't be bothered

Brilliant product! As a first time mum I was fussing over room temperature, wondering if my child was warm enough. With the gro egg this tells you if the room is too cold, warm or too warm. And I just had to look at it & it glowed with whatever the temperature of the room was. It is just a handy, easy to use product.

The display is very easy to read, it is a nice, simple product that I have always appreciated having just to provide extra peace of mind. It also doubles as a nice night-light as well as themometer. You can also purchase animal covers for it separately which I find nice and it looks attractive.

This has to be one of the best products I have bought.
Having used a free thermometer given by the health visitor, I wasn't 100% convinced on its accuracy.
I bought this and I have not had a single worry since.
The worst is... Is it too hot for him, is it too cold, should I put on another layer etc.
The Gro-Egg is so simple to use and you have complete peace of mind when this is on.
The worry is gone! Worth every penny just got that alone.
