Soft play
Leaping Lemurs is a fantastic soft play area, specially designed for the zoo with a fun animal theme!
Kids will love the colourful 4-level play frame, with special baby and toddler zones, cafe, seating and mezzanine area.
The soft play building is located within the zoo grounds, on your right-hand side as you enter the main gates. You are welcome to visit either the zoo or the soft play or both together. The soft play has its own separate entrance and car park.
Cafés
Leaping Lemurs restaurant is the main food outlet in the zoo.
Enjoy a range of hot and cold food and drinks at a reasonable price. The restaurant has plenty of seating both indoors and out for during the good weather.

I was introduced to this zoo last year and since this time I have introduced many of my friends to the zoo. It is smaller than other commercial zoos so I would say that the children got to see the animals closer up. My 5 and 8 year old love feeding the Lemurs. It was fantastic seeing a Lemur putting its paws on my 5 year old knee and politely taking the fruit from the bowl. My 8 year old was less sure so she held the bowl away from her and the Lemurs took the fruit from it. You can really spend a day here there is a small outdoor play area, restaurant and picnic area. Would definitely recommend this as a day out. Review added 13/5/2010.

Just back from our visit to 5 Sisters. My family favourite. An amazing zoo that we never tire off. Bears are now there, so pleased they have been rescued. Well done to the staff their for there hard work and determination. A great new addition to the park as well of more swings and climb frame. As always the kids love it. Then the soft play. Make the effort to go a whole day out no probs. Ticket prices up a couple of ponds in total. 2 adults 2 kids £22. Worth every penny. Take your own food & drinks too. Easy to park safe and friendly. A great day out!!! GO GO GO. You'll see more there than at Edinburgh zoo i'm sure.
