We took our nee-naa mad toddler last Sunday and he loved it. There is a play area and cafe. Lots of the exhibits are open to be climbed into. He met Fireman Sam and there were fire engine rides too. Plenty of interest for Mums and Dads as well. It was a bit cold and there are some stairs. The staff were really friendly. Good value day out.

  • **May 2006** Jo says: *This small museum is run by volunteers, so only open on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. There are lots of displays of old police and fire brigade equipment, including antique fire engines, and there's a small play area on the ground floor. My fire engine-mad toddler loved the chance to travel round a few streets on a decommissioned engine, complete with siren inside the cab. Part of the premises are open air so wrap up warm!*
