An easy chocolate sauce that's both quick and tasty...

Preparation
- Total Time 10 mins

- 100g plain chocolate (or milk chocolate)
- 100ml double cream (or tinned evaporated milk)
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water or in the microwave
- Stir in the cream or evaporated milk and mix well
- Return to the heat to warm through, but don't boil
- For a runnier sauce, just add more cream or evaporated milk
- Use as a dipping sauce for fruit kebabs or pour a drop over your favourite pudding instead of custard

Variations
- Emptying a small tub of single cream into a medium saucepan and heat it gently. While it's heating break up a large bar of milk chocolate into the cream, stirring it to melt it in occasionally, when melted add a pinch of cinnamon, pour into little pots/egg cups and arrange in the centre of individual plates. Arrange slices of fresh fruit on the plate for dipping!

This super simple recipe can you be used for so many things. I give the children strawberries on kebab sticks , get them to dip then in the chocolate , then into different toppings like nuts and desiccated coconut . They do make a bit of a mess though, so you may need a plastic table cloth !
