  • 3 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

    Curry paste?

  • Guest

This is yummy although I have made a few amendments when I cook this. Instead of curry powder I use a generous tablespoon of korma curry paste. I also pack it full of beg, I use mushrooms, red, green and yellow peppers, carrot, celery and sweetcorn then I also add chickpeas. It is delicious, the whole family love it and it makes loads so I also have plenty to freeze for future dinners. I would recommended this to anyone :)

just cooked this and is simmering away in the slow cooker for tonights tea for me and the hubby, will let you know how it goes!!

I did it on the hob for half an hour as that is all chicken needs,(in my humble opinion) and it was fine.

I've done this so many times now one of my fav recipes on netmums, as my little girls only 10 months I add only a little mild curry powder.

OMG 8-10hrs?? Or is that 8-10mins, need something quick for tonight's dinner

I made this yesterday, I added two tablespoons on low fat creme fraiche at the end, it was absolutely stunning everybody wanted seconds. :)

Having never cooked before, more details would be nice ie chopped or whole tomatoes?, how many mushrooms?, cooking or eating apple? Once I get used to a new recipe, future recipes will become clearer.

Can I add coconut milk to this recipe does anyone think?

  • Guest

I made this last night for me and my teens, my son told me it was 'really nice', my daughter was home late from cinema trip and even tho it had dried out a bit from being kept hot in the oven she still loved it. I hope my husband enjoys it as much as we did when he eats it in work on night shift tonight. Amazed how much veg my son ate ( I added peppers and peas) - he usually picks it out. THANK YOU :)

Lovely recipe! I now use it as a base for most of my curries. I add extra veg and swap chichen for pork or prawns and serve with cous cous or rice and garlic bread. Thanks!

We had this for dinner tonight and it was delicious! I threw in green beans and sweetcorn and didn't have any Mango chutney so used sweet chilli sauce instead. My toddler and husband both asked for more!

This was a great recipe and enjoyed by the grown-up's, our toddler and a 9-month old. Success all round! I added another tin of tomatoes, just to make it a bit more of a sauce, but it was really lovely - a sweet and sour curry.

I tried this recipe a few weeks ago and am about to cook it now, I am not a spicy curry fan so instead got mild curry powder, I added a bit of cream to mine too, not the healthiest option for it but it tasted lovely none the less Hubby loved it!x

Very nice. Added a bit of water to mine and made the sauce before adding the pre cooked chicken so I could blend it for fussy eaters, well my husband!

Just cooked this. It was very nice and we aren't curry lovers!

Hi there have just tried this recipe and it was yummy!!! Although it did not taste like i expected it too i thought it was a bit more like sweet sour but spicy!! But it was lovely. I am not a huge curry fan and will only really eat Korma so i was a bit worried but i am so glad i tried it, will defo make it again and soon :)

I discovered this recepie on here a couple of months ago and now I make it all the time! I always use 2 tins of tomatoes (with added garlic) a tin of chickpeas, carrots and peppers. I always cook it in the slow cooker (I dont even bother to dice the chicken as it literaly falls apart when done in the slow cooker so no need too!) My 2 (4 and 1) love it, always lots left over for the freezer too! A good variation is to omit the chicken and curry powder and add sausages and mild chilli powder and a tin of sweetcorn rather than chickpeas and you have a yummy sausage casserole!

Now that my daughter is 2 I'm always on the look-out for recipes that we can eat together as a family. My husband usually complains that 'toddler food' is too bland, but he loved this curry and so did my little one. I used carrots and courgettes instead of mushrooms and it went down a treat. Will definitely make this again and it's so easy to ring the changes by using different veg. Delicious!

really easy to make and delicious! i made it for my 3 year old and 14 month baby and they scoffed the lot. i even ate the rest for my dinner with some chilli flakes added. will try it in the slow cooker next time.

Lovely. Made this for my 14 month old daughter and 3 year old son and they both cleared their plates! I added two tins of chopped tomatoes as well as a tin of chickpeas and cooked for an hour. Really tasty will be having this one again.

  • Guest

Oh this was so yummy! All the family loved it, and have begged me to make it again! I used sweet potato instead of mushrooms, it worked out well. Thanks!!

Made this last week for me & my 2.5 yr old DD. Really Really nice!!! I added more chutney, peas, some chopped up butternut squash and also some chicken stock, as it was getting a bit thick by the end of the cooking time. Would definately be making this again. Thanks

I made this for my 2 boys, 11 and 5, because they do not like other curries and i thought this would be ideal to introduce them to one of my favourite kinds of food. The boys loved it. I added extra veg and extra chutney and they wolfed it down. Great with nans and rice other litte extras. Fantastic!
