2nd birthday - what to do?

Is anyone having a 2nd birthday party for little one? I really want to have a fun day out with just immediate family but feel guilty since everyone seems to be having parties.
I just went to days out and invited family like days to the zoo or just me partner and children then when get back invite any family over for a small buffet for an hour no point at that age . Or could hire a bouncy castle in garden have family over and do a bbq and any little friends over if the child has any. I've 3 kids 10,5 4 and only done one party for eldest when she had close friends at 9 for sleepover and pizza . None of them were into parties really and didn't really like going other people's made them very nervous. So we do a big day out and tend to just let family pop over after or join us on the day out z
You can make a picnic with some games for children.
