Desperate for some tooth advice :,(

Hi, my 13 year old daughter had a knock to her front tooth a few weeks ago - it started off with sensitivity and since then has started turning grey. Looks like she is going to need a root canal 😢 but obviously we are aware this will not restore the tooth colour. The colour is getting her down, and now she’s so self conscious that she tries not to smile 😢 I am just wondering if anyone has tried a whitening pen that is safe for the teeth? I know it would only be temporary, like tooth makeup, but I feel this would help her confidence?
Or if any one has had a similar experience I’d be so grateful to hear what happened, any advice soooo greatly appreciated 💕
Crest tooth whitening strips are best the cheapest things can cause further damage talk to dentist get her route canel and ask to whiten and pay it will be worth it for her x
Get it whitened at dentist best way and would be worth the money if affecting her but crest strips they say are best x

I’ve been a dental nurse for 34 years and would advise get the root canal done ASAP. The discolouration is caused by blood in the tooth and the longer it’s left the darker it’ll go. Once the root canal has been done ask your dentist about internal bleaching. This just means the bleach is placed inside the tooth instead of the outside.
