Rude stranger

Hiya everyone,
Has anyone had a bad experience with a total stranger while you're out shopping with your toddler?
My 2 year old daughter had a tantrum while we were in a shop earlier; there was nothing I could do to calm her down, so I decided to quickly pay for our items, and head out of the shop as quickly as possible.
As I was going down one of the aisles to get to the till, I went past this woman (early 50's) who was on the phone. As I passed her she gave me the filthiest look, and said down the phone to whoever she was talking to (purposely loud so I would hear):
"F$&k sake! I'm just trying to have a f$&king private conversation, and this stupid cow's f$&King kid won't shut the f$&k up"
I literally stopped in my tracks and said to her "excuse me? What was that?"
She turned and walked off, effing and blinding down the phone about me and my daughter.
I was already stressed due to the tantrum, and this made me feel a million times worse. I put my shopping down and left the shop and sat in my car and cried.
Hindsight is now telling me I should have followed her around the shop with said screaming toddler, giving her enough noise to last her a lifetime 😆
Yes I've two toddlers 15 month gap always play up in shops parks etc scream when it's time leave I have put a brave face on like I don't care but inside I'm upset but I've had eye rolls over the years I have 10,5,4 yo now and learnt to ignore those around me they either don't have kids or be round people with kids they just plain bloody rude. Ignore them and forget them it will be theirr turn one day when have kids x
