Cariad Childcare - Childminder in Offerton, Stockport

I am an Ofsted registered childminder and my service, Cariad Childcare, provides quality care and education in a homely environment to children from birth to 5-years-old. I am also happy to receive enquiries regarding wrap-around care. I live with my children and we share our home with family pets.

There is a wide variety of resources and activities available to support children's learning and development:

• dressing up,
• books, videos, and programmes with educational content,
• small world toys,
• construction toys (Lego, Duplo etc.),
• role play/pretend play (garden playhouse etc.),
• water play / mud kitchen,
• arts and crafts,
• loose parts play,
• outings/shopping,
• cooking,
• gardening,
• outdoor play and equipment
• open-ended resources e.g., cardboard boxes, ‘junk modelling’.

About the setting environment -

Inside, there is a bright, spacious play room leading through to the adjoining living room, which together provide all the space children need in which to play, create, read, move and after all that... relax and take a nap! The environment has been carefully arranged to enable children to see and access any age-appropriate resources they would like to use.

Outside, there is an enclosed, well-maintained, secure back garden with a lawn surrounded by a patio area. There are lots of outdoor resources for children to play with and explore, including a mud kitchen.

Families will be provided with a Welcome Pack containing all of my 25 comprehensive policies, including my Safeguarding Policy, along with additional information about my service.

My experience -

Having gained five years' experience as a primary school teaching assistant, I then completed a teacher training course at Manchester Metropolitan University to be awarded a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status in July 2020.

To become an Ofsted registered childminder, I completed an Introduction to Childminding course delivered by Stockport MBC and have fulfilled the necessary requirements with regards to an enhanced DBS check, safeguarding training, paediatric first aid course etc.

Full day (7:30am-5:30pm) - £40
Half-day session (7:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-5:30pm) - £22

I offer funded places for 2, 3 and 4-years olds.
I am registered for tax-free childcare.
