Bradfield Baby & Toddler

A hands on group, where parents participate in play with their children. Lots of ride on toys + see saw, wormy tunnel, play house, slide, even a bouncy castle. These all change each week, as do the activity tables with zoo, puzzles, fuzzy felt, wooden bricks etc. For young babies we have an enclosed soft area with swing and bouncy chairs. Crafts each week. Children have water and a different snack each week( fruit, cheese, yoghurts, breadsticks). A rhyme time session is held each week. The leader holds Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, along with first aid, risk assessment and safeguarding. This allows the group to be run professionally. Toys are cleaned regularly and checked for safety. A new addition is our Treasure Area, parents must supervise their little ones in this area!
Babies and children build their confidence and abilities through modelling (observing their parents and others, following with similar actions), babies and toddlers learn many skills for life!
Come along, meet others and have a tea/coffee.
We are a friendly mixed group, which includes a few Dads and Grandmothers, this is great for the children attending.

Takes place at Bradfield Methodist Church Hall.
Mondays 1pm - 2.45pm (term-time only ).
The price is £2.50 per family, drink offered to children is water and fruit as snack We are a friendly group and welcome any families.Toys are maintained and cleaned to a high standard. We hold the 'Good Practice Checklist' award from the Pre-school Learning Alliance. The photo shows our Treasure Trove area - for child and adult exploration, to create interest in the world around us! The babies and toddlers love this area, it provides interesting ideas to talk and communicate with your child about. This area replaces most plastic baby toys and leads to more questions and discovery; developing language and communication.
We hold a body/voice gym and rhyme time session at the end for parents and children to join along with.
