Things to do with kids in Blackpool and Lancashire

Blackpool has to be one of the UK’s most instantly recognisable towns, and it’s packed full of family fun.

It rose to prominence in Victorian times when tourism boomed and it became a popular seaside resort, with its pier, donkey rides and fish and chip shops.

The iconic Blackpool Tower is host to many international dance and music events, including a Strictly special every season, while the Pleasure Beach will have adrenaline junkies screaming for more.

The beach itself is one of the best in the country, and there’s also the Lancashire outpost of Madame Tussaud’s. The world-famous Blackpool Illuminations take place every autumn, drawing huge family crowds.
