You will need:

  • Black top
  • Pink or purple cardigan
  • Strip of elastic for a waistband
  • A blue tutu or 2-3m of blue tulle to make your own
  • Leggings or tights
  • Pink and green felt to make flowers
  • Fabric glue

Four easy steps

1. Cut out 6-8 pink flower shapes and green leaves (approx 8cm wide) from the felt and attach one to the front of the black top.

2. To make a simple tutu, measure your child's waist with the elastic then add 2cm to this measurement and cut to size, using the 2cm overlap to sew it together securely (or 10cm extra and tie the elastic). Then cut the blue tulle into 12cm-wide strips. Loop each strip over the waistband you've made and attach with a knot in the middle. Work around the waistband until it's looking full.

3. Stick the rest of the flowers and leaves on individual sections around the bottom of the skirt.

4. Use the cardigan as a cape by only fastening the top button, add thick tights and ankle boots and plait hair, if it's long enough, to get Anna's signature look.
