My 4th son is 12 and is exactly the same my older 3 wouldn't of dared go on like that with me!! He's awful at school when ge goes his attitude to everything is appalling but then sometimes he can be the nicest kid ever and I know he has a heart of gold underneath it all

I'm really hoping it's something he will grow out of

The problem lies with parents having no rights of discipline now kids are out of control

Hi I read something before about the brains of a young tween. Apparently as they hit their teens their brains are changing to become an adults brain. Because of this it has an effect on the frontal part of the brain as its slower at developing then the rest. This is the part that controls rational thoughts and emotions. So they speak without thinking and act without reason. They are sincerely sorry but can't help but have a break down as that part of the brain is still child like. I'm not sure if this makes sense but it was interesting to read. It's how we deal with it that counts though maybe if you feel like your gonna explode walk away give them time to think. Then go back and tell them to explain how they are feeling.

Does he play computer games much? If so are they violent? Fortnite etc? The reason I ask is I was having a few problems with my son (he's 11, 12 in July) which I attributed to such games but now he barely plays them his attitude is so much better! I noticed that they caused him to get really het up.
