Should I make financial investments for my child?

We all want our children to have a good life, but should I start investing for them? I did not get any handouts from my parents and it made me work harder for everything I have and feel it shaped me.

I am battling between wanting them to have money from investments but don't want to make them lazy.

Does anyone have advice or has investments from their parents?

How did it help you?

(Note: I will invest in their future e.g. lessons etc I just don't want them to depend on my financial support.)

I have done some research with Acumen who i use for my financial advice https://www.acumenfinancial.co.uk/our-services/investments/
