7 hairdos to keep you cool this summer
Messy low bun
We all love a messy bun, and wearing it low means you can still have the hair around your face out for shaping, while the main bulk is all under control and out of the way.
The simple French plait
When it comes to keeping every single bit of hair off your face, you can't beat a classic French plait. Whether you do one, two, or five, they're always guaranteed to keep you cool.
Baby buns
A really quick way to get your hair up and look a little different is to do two buns – or for those of you with shorter hair, baby buns. Wear them high, low, small or big, the two buns work a treat in the heat.
Fringe braid
If you still want to keep your hair down, you can opt for a fringe braid to keep the hair off your forehead. And the beauty of the fringe braid is it works with SO many different hair lengths.
Vintage hair roll
The vintage hair roll couldn't be easier and it always looks super chic. Either buy a long foam roller, or use a scarf. Start at the bottom of your hair and roll it up, wrapping the hair round and round the roll until you reach the scalp. Then hold it in with a few pins and you're done!
Headband bun
We all know that one of the easiest hairstyles to do is a bun, and in the summer, it's always a winner. But why not try tying a headband or scarf around the edge of the bun? It'll keep all those stray hairs at bay and also jazzes up your usual bun.
Hair twist
Twist and pin! This technique is particular useful for those with short hair in the summer. To get the majority of your hair out of the way, simply twist the hair on each side round to the back and pin it in place. It's super easy, and looks like you've put in a LOT of effort (shh, don't tell!)
