My partner choosing to struggle in poverty by being loyal to his boss

Hi please tell me if im out of order cause i feel like im loosing my mind.

So me n my partner have been together on and off for 5 years, we have been on tho more recently the past 3 years if that makes sense, im 39 and he is too ive 4 children to previous relationship, 2 of which have left home and other 2 teens. I also have 1 toddler we had together.

my partners job is a joke tbh the man he works for expects too much from him, its not a big firm just a limited company doin house renovations etc.

when me n my partner had a bad time a few year back his boss was the only person who was there for him, which he appreciated greatly but we now have a little girl since then. He works all hours god sends and does it out of loyalty 🤬

so not so long back his boss got into a bit of trouble and basically had all his assets seized, bank accounts and everything. Apart from this limited company basically theres been no proper jobs in for ages but he stil does all the maintenance decorating all running around chasing rents of his properties and doesnt get paid or maybe 20 or 30 quids here n there.

so me n my partner are always having words not only that living day to day really struggling and im starting to resent him cos i feel like hes choosing this life for us. I need to know if im being unreasonable here cos he just keeps saying we be ok please help my heads a mess
