Hi everyone,

i am 5 weeks +4 and really starting to freak out as i dont have any symptoms. Back at week 4 i had some 'light' sickness feeling and have had the odd day where i feel exhausted but thats it.

i have had 2 miscarriage's all between 5-6 and one chemical last month so im getting paranoid

Anyone else experiencing this? Do i just need to take a chill pill? First scan is on monday at 6 week and im just praying!!

thank you all xx

Hi Louise

I can't offer any real advice but I just wanted to say you're not alone. I'm 4+6 and have no symptoms yet (except sore boobs and tingly nipples). I had awful morning sickness with my last and it's stressing me out that something might be wrong.

The only thing I will say is that if you have had very noticeable symptoms and suddenly they all stop, that can be a sign of decreased hcg and obviously be very worrying. If you haven't had symptoms to begin with, maybe you're just very lucky?

My scan isn't until 4th June and I'm really stressing. I want to bring it forward to next week but I'll only be 6+1 and then if we can't see the heartbeat yet because it's too early it would be awful.

Here if you want to chat xx

Hi Abbey,

thanks for your reply :)

I basically haven’t had any symptoms so maybe that’s better. Tested my HCG again this morning and it’s coming up super strong so I’m hoping it’s a good sign.

i actually have a scan booked Monday where I will be 6+2, I know it will be early but I just want to make sure there is something there even if there isn’t a heart beat yet. My next scan is then at 9weeks on the NHS.

its just such a worry and I know I should stress but can’t help it.

Congratulations to you by the way. I think sore boobs is a great sign! Are you testing HcG each day?

Maybe you'll just be really lucky and have a wonderful first trimester without the symptoms - that's what I'm hoping for!

I've used quite a few tests now to compare the strength of the line. The line basically can't get darker or come up quicker now so I think I've exhausted that as an option! I'm really struggling with anxiety though so I may ring my GP tomorrow and ask for a blood test asap to check HcG levels.

Good luck for Monday, please let me know how it goes! I'm really trying to convince my husband to let me get a scan at 6 weeks but he's saying to just wait until the 7 week one I've booked (which makes sense, I know).

I just feel really anxious this time round. It's comforting (in a weird way) to know others feel it too

That’s amazing that your lines are so dark is defo a great sign. Please do keep me updated on Monday after your GP appointment. I’m going for my scan at 5pm Monday so hopefully I’ll have good news to share with you after that . Just terrified as my last pregnancy went to 12 weeks (not many symptoms but they did stop at week 7) and at the 12 scan you could see it had stopped developing at 7 weeks … and it was triplets. I was devastated and in a way bracing my self. I’ll prob get private scans all the time just to make sure as I’m so paranoid now!

just praying I can share a little scan with you Monday even if it’s too soon for the heartbeat xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss, I've really got my fingers crossed for you. I can't wait to hear about the scan on Monday and hopefully see a beautiful strong heartbeat.

I rang my GP and they said the next available appt was 30th May so I've booked it but I may end up getting an emergency appt this week just for bloods. I just seem to be so stuck in my own head! xxx

Thank you hun. I had some mild dull ache last night for about 30 mins so now I’m expecting the worst :/ on Monday . Just wish my scan was today.

The 30th feels so far away!! What about calling your local EPu to see if they can test you and put your mind at ease. Xxx

I've been reading a lot about aching in early pregnancy and how the uterus stretches and changes so much that some pain is normal but it's always scary isn't it.

I did consider ringing them but I don't think they'd do anything because I haven't had any bad pain or bleeding you know xxx

Yes the ache is crazy isn’t it. Did you get that feeling with your first. Does it go away after a while or just get worse as the uterus expands?

The private clinic called me today and advised that I should move my app a week back as a scan at 6+2 really won’t show much and I’ll be disappointed. So now I’m going to move it back a week as at least I’ll hopefully 🙏🏼 hear a heartbeat. Just means another week of waiting 😭.

we will both now be waiting impatiently for the 30th together xxx

For me it went away and then came back intermittently, but it wasn't awful.

Oh no, how annoying! I've decided to wait until I'm 7 weeks because if I go at 6 and it's too early to see a HB I'll be beside myself all week, but that doesn't make the wait any easier.

I've got the doctors on the 30th and my scan on the 4th so hopefully by the afternoon of the 4th we can be comparing scans and due dates xxx

Hi Louise!

I'm around 4 weeks now, i've just filled in an E-Consult with my GP this morning as I tested positive over the weekend! I am very nervous as it's my first pregnancy and last November I had a chemical pregnancy. Period is currently just over 3 days overdue.

The only current symptoms I have are getting little bumps around my nipples and my breasts are on/off feeling achey. I don't have period like cramps but now and again I get little twinges. Last night was the first time I felt a bit queasy and this morning but otherwise okay. I have noticed I am waking up early around 5-6am since yesterday.

I hope all goes well with the scan, is it today?

i am so glad i moved it as i would be the same not hearing a HB, i am off to Edinburgh for work then staying for some time off so im glad i wont be constantly thinking about the scan with no HB.

So excited for your scan on the 4th! Did you have to go private for it?

Cant wait for our little scan compare. :)

My boobs have started to hurt now and are getting bigger. I'm still peeing on the HCG test strips though LOL but i should stop that now as its not good for my paranoia.

Hi Sophia,

aww congrats :) you have some great signs at 4weeks!! my boobs have only just started to hurt and have grown in size! Im still peeing on my HCG sticks though as just always wanting validation that there is something there.

So sorry to hear about you chemical. i had one last month too. a loss is heartbreaking.

The clinic called me at the weekend and advised i wait until monday as they said 6w its hard to find a HB and i thought that might give me some real anxiety! I'm so excited for it but also so so nervous. As last time at my 11w scan it had stopped developing at week 6.

Those little twinges you feel could be implantation!! so cute! i got them too in week 4. I was actually on my honeymoon haha (delayed due to covid)

Oh I love Edinburgh, how nice! Definitely best to wait but it's so bloody hard to.

Yeah we've gone private for the first scan, just because I'm so impatient. Although no doubt we'll get a gender scan at 16 weeks too ha.

I've started to feel sick. Boobs aren't hurting as much anymore which is nice, but this nausea is not fun. Think I'd rather have sore boobs!

I've given up on the sticks, only because they weren't getting any darker and I'm not sure they could if they tried ha. How are yours looking? Xxx

Edinburgh is lovely isnt it! but the weather isnt looking so good :(.

OMG so funny about the sickness, as i have also just started to feel it today! Is yours mostly in the morning or all day. Apparently eating can help it, though im not sure how hhaha.

Im actually going to get a harmony test at 10weeks, which also tells you the gender. As im 36 im really worried about the chromosomes and apparently all my miscarriage's were due to chromosomes. NIPT and Harmony are so accurate, but they do cost a lot. and you get to find out the sex so early!!!

You are so right about the sticks! My sticks were super dark since 15PDO and so no indication, i was testing to make sure the line was staying dark. but i have finished my pack and wont buy anymore as its pointless.

why does a week in pregnancy feel like a year?hahahah

xx
