Hi. My ten year old has been suffering with nausea for 3 weeks. He hasnt been to school because he feels too poorly he says. Hes very pale and isnt interested in his usual activities. Ive been to the doctors on 4 occasions and hes adamant its tummy migraines. He has no tummy ache just waves of sickness throughout the day on and off. Hes done a stool sample today and its been sent off for testing and has referred him to paediactrics but is refusing to do bloods. Ive done the worst thing and googled symptoms and have frightened myself tk death. Has anyone elses child or children experienced this. I cant keep him lff school forever but i feel guilty when we dont know the exact diagnosis. Gp has put him on pizotofen (for migraines) and hes been on them a week and a half and no improvement. Sorry for the long post

A very worried mummy

Never google symptoms!

Why the hell does the GP refuse blood tests? This would be the obvious thing to do pretty muc right from the start, wouldn't it? Often things like these are a simple lack of some vitamin or mineral and this can easily be dertermined by a blood test. I'd strongly recommend switching doctors right away.

Hello, I was wondering if you figured out the cause for your son’s nausea? we are going through something similar with my 8 year old daughter.

Hope all is well,

Carrie
