We are moving this week into our first 2 bedroom house. Up until last summer we were in a 1bedroom flat then moved in with my mum until now. So DS (2) has always had his clothes in our wardrobe. He will now have his own room and im wondering how you all store your LO's clothes? I was going to buy a wardrobe but toddler ones all seem overpriced and adult ones all far too big? We will swap rooms with him next year so he has the bigger room so would rather get something more permanent then. We need the bigger room til next year as pregnant with no.2 and DS2 will be in with us.

I have all my LOs clothes in canvas boxes - one for socks and pants, one for trousers, one for tops, one for jackets and jumpers, one for PJs etc. My boxes are jungle themed to go with the room.
You can get storage units in IKEA that fit the boxes. If you want to then put the clothes in a wardrobe later, the unit and boxes can be used for toys.

We bought a toddler wardrobe from asda, it was £150 and is the perfect height for him. There isn't loads of hanging space, but lots of shelves so it works for us.

I have the stokke changing table in my son's room which has 2 big canvas drawers under it. All his clothes are in the bottom one except Sleepsuits and bodysuits and socks which are in one half at the top.

I have two tall ikea trofast units like these in each child's bedroom.  They are £25 each.

I've fitted dowel into the top 'slot' (literally just cut it to size and slid it in) to make hanging rails.  Then they have a variety of sized sliding boxes in the bottom section.

My two share a room and share some of their clothes storage.
They have a canvas wardrobe and we just keep the front rolled up at the top all the time to save taking it up and down, so it's open, but it gives the kids easy access to their clothes.
There is a chest of drawers inside the bottom of the wardrobe.
DS1 has the hanging rail for his t-shirts, a basket on one of the side shelves for his jeans and trackie bottoms, 2 baskets on top of the chest of drawers for school uniform, and a drawer for pants and socks.
DS2 has 2 baskets on the side shelves, 1 for bottoms and 1 for school uniform, 3 drawers in the chest of drawers, for long sleeve t-shirts, short sleeve t-shirts and pants and socks.
There are 2 other side shelves which we keep one for PE and sports, and the other for new clothes.
It's getting a bit tight now and won't last forever but they are 5 and 8 and we've had it since DS1 went into his own room at 6 months ish.
All the bedding, including spare duvet and pillows is stored under one side of DS2's divan bed, the other side is dress up clothes.
DS1 has  cabin bed with 6 boxes underneath. 2 are to store clothes that are too small for him but too big for DS2 yet, 1 at the back is for winter blankets, jumpers and socks. 1 is for shorts and summer clothes; when the weather gets really nice, I'll put the long sleeve t-shirts in there and hang all the summer stuff up instead. Another box is actually to store their old baby photo albums and things like that, and the last box is actually spare. I'd put some jumpers, new clothes, or shirts and party clothes and things they don't wear that much in there.
Swimming bags, hoodies and dressing gowns are hung on the back of the door, we have a long rail that goes over the top of the door, with lots of hooks on.
All in, I have to be quite organised, and am constantly sorting through and decluttering the boys clothes, lol.
