I have a 16 year old son who is very shy...I went to his room to collect his dirty laundry,I knocked on his door and got no response so I assumed he was in the living room with his siblings watching tv. Opening the door I met him coming out of the shower naked, I quickly apologized and went out. since then he has been avoiding my gaze, says little or nothing to me...haven't seen him naked for years until now so I guess that made him embarrassed... Don't know what to do,should I talk to him or just let the matter die down on its own??

I wouldn't leave it - I would just say, sorry for walking in on your earlier it's been years since I've seen you in your birthday suit!! Just make it light and have a giggle!

I'd leave it you already apologized so no need to again if my mum had walked in on me at that age I wouldn't want it brought back up I'd want to forget it happened it may take a day or two for him to not be embarrassed about it though

He is 19 now and last 18 months think seen him in next yo nothing or nude a few times from shower or accident but it goes unmentioned or a laugh. My daughter is 18 and sunbathes with me topless in garden
In my early teens in 70s in the society of the knock on effects of the swinging 60s I was one of those kids who shed their clothes. Mum was a naturist so it didn't bother me. Dad less so but very protective and respectful

Same. Nakedness/being seen in underwear has never been a big deal in my family.
When I stay at my mum's she'll often come down to breakfast in nothing but knickers & a t-shirt. I'll laugh & make a joke & she'll say 'It's my house I'll wear what I want'.
I still see her naked often. My kids see me naked often. Obviously we're more private with the men.
Our last holiday to Spain, it was boiling. Myself, my sister & my 2 children all shared a room (2 double beds). We all slept in just a pair of knickers.
Obviously it's different if you've got a son but a 'oops, sorry' should be enough to move on.

I have sons and been awhile since saw them nude...nics to see them grow uo to be men size ....we are good about it they see me and sisters
